This week's story comes compliments of Gary Seven on "Star Trek."

This is a deep and meaningful take on this weeks prompt, and advice that many would find benefit in applying.

Ha! I had that song stuck in my head a few days ago (how much is that doggy). My mother used to sing it when I was little, I bet she had to type to it in school!! (I'll have to ask). I took typing class but we had electronic typewriters and we never typed to music. That would have been fun if we had! Well done!

We had manuals and electrics, but like having to learn on a stick shift in the day before moving on to an automatic, our instructor made us learn on the old ones. That's why the music because pounding the manual keys was hard and tiring on the fingers and the music forced us to do it in rhythm lol. Once we reached 70 wpm we could move up to electrics. And that was lots of fun with Elvis songs because I soon made 80 wpm.

This is a great story. In a few words, you effectively captured a memory. I find it interesting how the use of a sound "tap" can speak volumes. Thanks for sharing.

I've really got to start writing these earlier - like on the weekend! Anyway, here is my story. I liked this one, I didn't have to think too hard which is good because I am so tired tonight. https://sandrajjackson.wordpress.com/2016/10/19/writerly-wednesday-an-oldie-but-a-goodie/

I loved your story Sandra. The sentiment really moved me. It really tells a story about family and respect for the matriarchs of our families. Well done.
